	CLINICAL RESEARCH

	Through the Center’s designation as an affiliate site of the Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG) and its relationship with Moffitt, we offer a wide variety of clinical research trials to provide our patients with the latest innovations in targeted therapies. Several studies are in progress, involving lung cancer, prostate cancer, breast cancer, anemia and most importantly, prevention are underway (Current Protocols). Additionally, our center has an Institutional Review Board that reviews all clinical trials and protocols to ensure that ethical and scientific standards are implemented and maintained. We also are initiating a tumor registry staffed by specially trained individuals who register all cancer patients according to their diagnosis, treatment and results.
