Dr. Cardosi
is a gynecologic oncologist -- a physician specializing in the
comprehensive care of women with gynecologic malignancies. This
includes radical pelvic surgery, colorectal and genitourinary
surgery, placement of mediports, and chemotherapy administration.
Dr. Cardosi received his medical degree with high
honors from the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He completed
his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University
of South Florida in Tampa, where he also served as the administrative
chief resident. He furthered his specialty by completing a fellowship
in Gynecologic Oncology, also at the University of South Florida/H.
Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute.
He
enjoys clinical research and has authored over 40 publications
and book chapters in his field of medicine. He is a member of
the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, the Society of
Gynecologic Oncologists, the American Society of Clinical Oncologists,
the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the
American Medical Association, and the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Cardosi is affiliated with H. Lee Moffitt Cancer
Center & Research Institute in Tampa, Lakeland Regional
Medical Center, South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City,
Winter Haven Hospital and Brandon Regional Medical Center.
He
is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
in both Obststrics & Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology.
