Dr. Franco is a
hematologist/oncologist. He uses medical and chemotherapeutic methods to treat
cancer, and specializes in malignancies of the blood and blood-forming tissues.
He received his medical degree from Cayetano Heredia
University in Lima, Peru. He did his internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center
in Miami Beach, and his residency at Yale University affiliated hospitals in
Bridgeport, Conn. (St. Vincent's Medical Center).
He completed an oncology fellowship at Wayne State
University in Detroit. He also was an oncology research fellow at the National
Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Md.
Dr. Franco is a member of the American Medical Association,
the Southern Medical Association, the Florida Medical Association, the Polk
County Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the American
Society of Medical Oncology, the Southern Association of Oncology, and Colegio
Medico Peruano.
He is affiliated with H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center &
Research Institute in Tampa, Lakeland Regional Medical Center, and Bartow
Memorial Hospital.
