Dr. Kelley is a surgical oncologist. He is trained in the surgical treatment of gastrointestinal malignancies of all kinds, including esophagus, pancreatic, stomach, colon and rectal, hepatobiliary, retroperitoneal sarcomas and gastrointestinal stromal tumors.

He received his medical degree from the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University in New York. He performed his internship and residency in General Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he also completed research fellowships in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Surgical Oncology. Dr. Kelley then completed an additional surgical oncology fellowship at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute.

Dr. Kelley served as Section Head of Esophageal and Gastric Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center and was promoted to Associate Professor of Surgery. He is only one of a handful of surgeons in the world who performs minimally invasive esophageal resection, pioneering and refining what is referred to as the 'Kelley Minimally Invasive Esophagectomy'.

Dr. Kelley is certified by the American Board of Surgery.

He is affiliated with H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute in Tampa and Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
